The eight seats of the 119th Congress

How to read this record
Each of the eight entries above is a seat, not a person. The statute at 50 U.S.C. § 3093(c)(2) names offices — the Speaker, the minority leader, the committee chairmen and ranking members — and whoever holds the office holds the seat.
That is why this page is dated rather than described as current. When the 119th Congress ends on January 3, 2027, this record will be archived exactly as it stands and a new locked record published beside it. A roster from a prior Congress is not out of date; it is a permanent record of who held those seats during those two years.
Verify it yourself
You never need to trust a roster. Identify who currently holds the four leadership offices and the four intelligence committee leadership positions, and you have the answer directly from the source.
Records by Congress
Each Congress gets its own closed record rather than overwriting a single page. Records are archived when a Congress ends, never rewritten.
